April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano classes which sparked her enthusiasm for songwriting. When she was 12 years old, April composed her first single Different. As a teenager, April was a huge devotee of her time writing music ideas and practicing musical skills. Later on, she started taking notes together with her dad on trips to LA and NY. April began to include additional relevant subjects into the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure problems and teenage suicide. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer that has an ever-growing fan base. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia through a collaboration, in addition to being a lifestyle expert. Lockhart was born without a left hand and that is part of who she is--but it's far from the entirety of her story. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap through her Instagram page however she doesn't place it in the spotlight of it. The point is? that we are all a part of a multitude and that we are all unique and that we're far more than just our physical self. Lockhart said via video that she doesn't wish to be defined by her handicap. She doesn't want to become a disability advocate who only speaks about it. There are so many aspects to Lockhart. The fact that it's not affecting my day-to-day life I do things normally, and I've discovered my own way to adjust to things. Since it's a part of who I am I think it's worthy of discussion. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime however Lockhart is a true inspiration in this regard. Still, she admits going through phases when it comes to her body and feeling uneasy about clothes that exposed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and proudly posts pictures of herself dressed in outfits she picks out on social media. It's a journey is the main thing I'm not certain to arrive at, she says of self-love. However, I believe that's the case with all people, regardless of what their fear may be. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly know you and see your emotions is important because they'll also be the people who remind you What are your worries about?
