Anne Phung Nguyen
Anne Phung Nguyen. I am an American-born Vietnamese entrepreneur living in the city of Orange California. Alongside my amazing partner JP and my jolly father Henry. The majority of people have come across me through my Instagram platform, @annephung. I post my daily life: the good, the bad and all between. My parents accompanied me into America in the year 1990 when I was only one and a half years old. I wouldn't be sharing my life story today without my parents' efforts to work hard and make sacrifices. Being aware of the possibility at a better future I strived to impress them and had tunnel vision in the direction of success. I had a set plan in my life that was to go to university, get a job, marry, purchase the house, and then have kids. My life that I thought I would have was not what it turned out. In 2013, my job as a corporate employee was one I had a fear of. Status and money were not what I needed to feel happy. I thought I was wasting away my time to make a living. I was passionate about fitness and being social and helping others as I navigated towards the new direction in my life. I was drawn to personal training. It was in 2014 that I started my own small business which will mark my 7th year anniversary by 2021. It is rare to find Asian women working in this industry. To lead in my field, and to provide quality coaching to assist others in achieving an improved and happier life by creating a healthy lifestyle to meet their needs and help them achieve their objectives. In addition, I strive to motivate others to follow the goals they have set for themselves in order to achieve whatever they wish to do. My professional career began to take off when I was experiencing the most success of my life. However, my mother died just as my career began to take off. Her eight-year battle with Scleroderma is over and she rests in Heaven. Her memory will forever remain in my thoughts and mind. It is true that life has the capacity to give us exactly what we need even if we're not able to grasp the lessons at the time. My loss has impacted my life in a variety of ways. I truly believe that her death gave me an opportunity to begin an entirely new chapter. The day she died was Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she died. Now it was time for her to transition to her next chapter and for me to have the chance to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. What I'm experiencing at the age of 30 is a feeling of vitality and awareness. It's as if that I'm living my life, and not just existing. My goal in telling my story is to let you know that you're not the only one. I would like you to be aware that love exists and that a therapy session can be common. Health is the most important asset you have. My prayer is that you will live life fully and that your end is without regrets because that's all that we have to be confident about for the rest of our lives.
