Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I worked for months, working 12- hour days sanding floors and taking wallpaper down with one baby strapped to my back, and others crawling in the playpen. Ha! We were getting closer to being done, yet we were a long distance away. For furnishing the space would be an enormous undertaking both in time and money. I would also have go to my favorite stores. In order to stay within the budget, I started going with my boys to estate sales looking for of diamonds. Our routine for the week was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through garage sales buying a mixture of antique and brand new furniture while I spent weekends painting and sanding the driveway. Looked a little something like this... This is where my passion for restoration of furniture started. Even after our house was finished, I didn't want to quit! I also had a booth at the market to sell items. My collection eventually grew enough that the area that I was living in was not enough. I held open houses at my house where 1 thousand people would visit on a single weekend. they could purchase anything on the ground level. Growing Days is the result of this. My business was booming and my family was also expanding. The balance between work and family was crucial to me. I wanted to be a mom as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days just fit. Nora joined us in 2013 and became our fourth baby. My business was booming but I wanted a rest. I opted to take a little breaks from my old furniture and stay at home with the children. At the time, it was what I wanted. It was only after several months that the phones started to ring. A lot of people contacted me to ask for advice regarding home improvements and decor. These people had mostly been to my home during open houses that were held for furniture. It wasn't long before I managed a large-scale business for home improvement. It began with taking clients at a pace that I could be at ease with. If you'd told me that this business of mine could become the premise of a tv show for the DIY Network I probably would have thought you were crazy. Actually I still kind of laugh when I think about it.
