Katherine Heigl is open about growing up in "a white bubble." She also shares how this experience has affected the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. In an interview, she said recent interview that, when it comes to the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her adopted sister by South Korea she realized just how differently society treats them. In my interview, I inquired of Meg what she thought of her treatment at public events, whether regardless of whether we were with our parents, she said it was completely different. Meg responded "Oh yes! All the all the time!" It made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to parents. She admitted to becoming upset, but she felt that she had to channel her anger to aid the adopted children she has. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr., 4, have been together for thirteen years. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old who is Black and was adopted in 2012.
